Serve2Perform, a leader in leadership development, executive coaching, career development, and community development proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Alex Sevilla as the organization’s new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

Dr. Sevilla most recently served as Vice Provost at Vanderbilt University, where he led with vision, innovation, and a people-first approach. He brings a strong background in leadership, emotional intelligence, change management, and organizational transformation to his new role. Living at the intersection of higher ed and industry, Sevilla is a trusted source of innovation, momentum and results for universities, corporations and edtech firms.

In his position as CSO, Dr. Sevilla will lead the firm’s go-to-market strategy and the development of bespoke leadership programs to advance career progression, skill development, and economic mobility for learners at all levels across multiple corporations and industries.

Dr. Alex Sevilla served as the inaugural Vice Provost for Career Advancement at Vanderbilt University from 2021 to 2025, where he championed a transformational approach to career empowerment and enterprise-wide corporate relations. Under his leadership, Vanderbilt achieved its best-ever graduation placement rates in 2023, significantly outperforming peer institutions.

Prior to that, he served as Head of MBA Programs and Dean of the Heavener School of Business at the University of Florida from 2005 to 2021, where he established UF’s MBA and undergraduate programs as globally ranked brands, including the #1 global online MBA, launched six new degree programs, increased graduate enrollment fivefold, and pioneered the school’s career empowerment and leadership readiness strategies. Dr. Sevilla holds a BBA in Marketing and an MBA from the University of Miami and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. He teaches, coaches, and consults in both corporate and academic settings on transformational leadership, emotional intelligence, change management, leading teams, influence, servant leadership, and strategic planning.

Dr. Sevilla’s appointment also marks an exciting new chapter for Serve2Perform as the organization formally expands its service area into Nashville, Tennessee, a move that aligns with his home base and opens new pathways for partnerships, community-building, and client engagement in the Heartland region. With this strategic growth, Serve2Perform will extend its ecosystem of empowerment, innovation, and leadership to a broader audience and market.
